Job summary

ERM seeks a Managing Consultant, Project Manager based in the Gulf Coast region (Louisiana) to lead capital projects from concept through delivery, across oil & gas, LNG, power, and renewables. You will guide regulatory permitting, risk management, and strategic client advisory services in a high-visibility, client-facing role.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in consulting or energy, strong leadership, and experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multi-media permitting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in either a consulting environment or working substantially within the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing projects with multidisciplinary teams and balancing multiple priorities, workstreams, and deadlines.
  • Experience managing and performing multi-media permitting associated with capital development projects.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting requirements and regulatory processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the energy regulatory environment, key regulatory agencies, and current and emerging issues.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, presentation, and client communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
  • Ability to work independently while leading project teams and driving project execution.
  • Experience supporting commercial success through identifying client opportunities, proposal development, and cross-selling multidisciplinary services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large, complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept through delivery.
  • Provide strategic permitting and environmental impact guidance for infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Serve as trusted client advisor throughout project lifecycles, from proposals to delivery.
  • Support advancement of low carbon and energy transition projects.
  • Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities to expand services.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative project environment.
  • Oversee delivery of projects across oil & gas pipelines, LNG facilities, solar, wind, storage, and transmission.
