Job summary

Triangle in Lowell is seeking a Workforce Development / Employment Specialist to support diverse job seekers with career planning, resume help, and job development activities. This hybrid role combines remote coordination with in-person outreach in the Lowell area.

You will work with community partners, conduct case management, track outcomes, and help clients overcome barriers to employment, including transportation and childcare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Language skills highly preferred.
• Experience in the field preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• First Aid and CPR or willingness to become certified.
• Must clear state and federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Supports a diverse caseload of job seekers with career advancement support such as career planning, case management, job development and support with applications.
• Supports caseload in obtaining vocational goals by: finding employment, maintaining employment, providing or finding training opportunities, and eliminating barriers to employment (transportation, childcare, housing).
• Creates an inviting and innovative job search environment, meeting regularly in person or on online platforms such as Zoom.
• Assists individuals in obtaining competitive employment aligned with career goals; connects with community employers to secure opportunities.
• Collaborates with people with disabilities and their support teams to provide pathways to employment or advancement.
• Completes required service documentation and monthly reports; communicates with Workforce Development Department.
