Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney focused on Employment Litigation in a hybrid role in the Boston area. The ideal candidate drafts pleadings, handles depositions, and defends class actions and PAGA matters while advising clients on labor and employment issues.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in the state.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Associate Attorney.
Experience drafting, responding to pleadings, arguing motions, and defending depositions.
Solid experience in labor and employment law.
Experience in class action defense and PAGA matters.
Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
Ability to handle complex legal issues with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and respond to initial pleadings, discovery requests, and motions with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Present arguments and defend depositions in court.
Provide expert advice on labor and employment law matters to our clients.
Defend class action lawsuits and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters.
Conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop innovative solutions.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in employment law.
Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
