King County Water and Land Resources Division -WA is seeking an experienced Employee and Labor Relations Representative to support the Solid Waste Division's HR goals. You will advise leaders, handle investigations, and work with unions to shape workplace policy while protecting the environment and serving the community.

This exempt, full-time role is based at King Street Center in Seattle and requires strong labor law, bargaining, and policy interpretation skills.

Competenze

• Experience and advanced knowledge of labor law and policy, labor relations and contract interpretation.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and local employment rules and HR policies.
• Strategic communications and advisory experience to management on employee or labor relations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and drafting reports with interviewing and evidence evaluation.
• Experience in highly unionized environments and large organizations.
• Experience advising on performance management, coaching managers on discipline and documentation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication.

• Guide supervisors and managers on sensitive employee relations matters, including performance management and discipline.
• Consult on and facilitate resolution of labor relations issues with managers, employees, and unions.
• Represent the Division in labor grievances; own resolution pathways.
• Represent the Division in bargaining with labor unions.
• Interpret and guide on collective bargaining agreements and policies.
• Conduct and oversee workplace investigations, draft reports, and advise on findings.
• Track trends in employee and labor relations matters such as discipline and grievances.
