Job summary

King County’s Department of Local Services seeks a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team and advance workforce strategy. You will guide labor relations, recruitment, and organizational culture while mentoring HR practitioners across the department.

You will champion equity, diversity, and inclusion, partnering with leadership to resolve complex workforce challenges and drive strategic change in a dynamic public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Public or Business Administration or closely related field.
• Five years of HR management experience or equivalent.
• Experience with unionized environments and labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR leadership for Labor relations, talent development, and organizational culture.
• Develop leaders and partnerships across the department to improve recruitment and retention.
• Advise on workplace programs, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with leadership to design systems for recruitment, development, and retention.
