Job summary

Silvus Technologies, now part of Motorola Solutions, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to work on MANET radios and secure networking features from its West Los Angeles, CA headquarters. The role involves driver development, networking services, encryption, and performance testing within an R&D team.

Hybrid schedule requires a minimum of three onsite days weekly (Mon, Wed, Thu). You’ll contribute to MAC/Routing protocols, security, and system-level software across ARM and RISC-V platforms, with

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer or Communications Engineering, CS or related field with 2+ years embedded system software experience or MS in related field.
• Expertise in C programming and Linux kernel driver development.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement software for MAC (Medium Access Control) and MANET routing protocols.
• Develop network management software and web interfaces.
• Implement security protocols and encryption algorithms.
• Develop audio streaming and push-to-talk voice applications.
• Analyze and improve product security to meet NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP criteria.
• Develop and maintain device drivers and BSPs for ARM and RISC-V.
