Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leader in MANET and MIMO communications, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to work on its StreamCaster radios and research projects at our West Los Angeles HQ. Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days onsite (Mon, Wed, Thu).

You will work on device drivers, networking functions, encryption, and security features across the system, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. Applicants must be US citizens for government contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering (or related).
• Master's degree preferred in Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement software for MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
• Develop network management software and web interfaces.
• Implement security protocols and encryption algorithms.
• Develop audio streaming and push-to-talk features.
• Improve product security to meet standards like NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP CC.
• Develop testing software for performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain device drivers and BSPs for ARM and RISC-V.
• Customize Linux systems and scripting; assist with other related duties.
