Job summary
VDart Inc. is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on developing embedded firmware for PD controllers, bringing up new hardware, and delivering USB Type-C PD functionality.
You will work with Cypress/Infineon MCUs, read schematics, and debug with oscilloscopes and multimeters. Collaboration with EE and firmware teams is essential for product validation and future enhancements.
Qualifications
- Experience developing embedded and bare-metal firmware.
- Proficient in C programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with Cypress and/or Infineon MCUs and their IDEs.
- Ability to read schematics and translate into firmware.
- Familiarity with I2C/SPI and low-speed buses.
- Basic understanding of USB Type-C and Power Delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded and bare-metal firmware for PD controllers.
- Bring up hardware and resolve hardware/firmware issues.
- Develop firmware for USB Type-C PD functionality.
- Use multimeters/oscilloscopes to troubleshoot hardware and firmware.
- Read schematics and map hardware connections to firmware pins.
- Work with I2C, SPI and other low-speed buses.
- Collaborate with hardware/firmware teams on design and implementation.
- Support validation, stability, and future functionality.
