Job summary

Anoka County in Blaine, MN is hiring an Associate Eligibility Specialist to support the Economic Assistance team. The role is full-time, non-exempt, and hybrid with in-person interviews the week of November 2nd.

You will act as the first point of contact for clients, provide program information, and manage electronic case files. The position offers a pathway for advancement, a county salary schedule, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, pension, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in human services preferred.
• One+ year of full-time call center or public-facing experience preferred.
• Experience with MAXIS/MMIS/METS/PRISM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review applications to determine manual eligibility for public assistance and child support programs.
• Evaluate applications for program requirements and ensure proper documents.
• Assist in reviewing submitted documents for program eligibility.
• Answer complex questions via phone or in person and provide program information and instructions.
• Direct the public when applying for SNAP, cash assistance, emergency programs and healthcare programs.
• Maintain electronic case files and assist with client appointments and documentation.
