Job summary

JB&B in New York seeks a Project Engineer to lead electrical design and execution across tenant fit-out and base building upgrades. You will coordinate across disciplines, interact with clients, and ensure technical excellence while aligning with project financial goals.

Hybrid work is offered with a strong benefits package and opportunities within Trinity’s Built Environment division. 3–6 years of experience and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 3-6 years of experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of trade-specific scope and codes.
• Knowledge of project documentation and deliverables (SD/DD/CD).

Responsibilities

• Learns/oversees design for Tenant fit-out and base building upgrades; produces diagrams and floor plans.
• Assembles design criteria from proposals and basis of design documents.
• Prepares complete contract documents for trade including layouts of rooms and risers.
• Learns design for ancillary systems (UPS, generators, etc.).
• Reviews shop drawings and RFIs; supports site visits and punch-lists.
• Helps set an efficient project schedule honoring deadlines.
