Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Resilience Water team in a hybrid role based in Ohio or Detroit, MI. You will design and deliver electrical systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure reliable, resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects.
• EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and control systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, specifications, plans, and design calculations using industry-standard design software.
• Perform power system analyses and technical studies to support safe, efficient, and resilient facility operations.
• Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget.
• Support construction activities through submittal reviews, responses to RFIs, field investigations, and startup/commissioning support.
• Participate in client interactions, technical discussions, and proposal development while helping identify innovative solutions that address evolving infrastructure needs.
