Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) seeks an Electrical Engineer in Training to support senior staff on diverse projects in Raleigh, NC. The role involves applying industry standards and design practices to deliver compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.

You will use Revit and AutoCAD, participate in field observations, and help prepare technical documents while growing through internal mentorship in a hybrid, full-time setting.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) required.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong grounding in engineering theories and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Learn industry standards and company policies during project execution.
• Assist with design production using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support senior staff in project design and analysis.
• Perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
• Help coordinate designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and proposals.
• Observe field conditions and assist with site visits.
