Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer for the Distribution Engineering Team in Connecticut. You will supervise engineers, drive capacity expansion, and lead capital planning to improve system reliability.

This role may be based in Waterford or Madison, CT, with a hybrid work arrangement and travel to various service centers as needed. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 8–10 years of engineering experience in the electrical utility sector, with supervisory exposure

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of eight to ten years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Hybrid work environment with occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manages, coaches, develops and reviews performance of engineers and other staff.
• Develops infrastructure strategy and technical basis for asset renewal decisions.
• Works closely with System Planning on process integration (Bulk Power Substations).
• Responsible for cost and performance of assets including reliability analysis and event trend monitoring.
• Leads Life Cycle Plan activities over a multi-year horizon and ongoing management.
• Oversees development and management of preventive maintenance optimization.
• Coordinates Life Cycle Plan work across service areas and with Electric Operations.
