Job summary

BCP Engineers & Consultants seeks a Mid-Level Drafter to apply drafting methods for electrical and control drawings, including wiring diagrams, one-lines and schematics. The drafter must draft complex 2D/3D models and produce BOMs as required, under supervision.

Strong communication and office software skills are required. Hybrid role with on-site and remote work options; candidates should be able to travel to sites as needed and meet fast-paced project demands.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in drafting/design/engineering technology or equivalent
• 2 years of related experience or equivalent
• One year minimum experience in engineering drafting
• Ability to draw complex electrical/controls systems from sketches to standards
• Proficiency with drafting/CADD techniques for project requirements
• Ability to produce complex 2D and 3D drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong time management; multitask across projects
• Ability to pass security and drug screening and access requirements
• Must understand and follow company policies and processes
• Preferred: Knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Experience with Laser Scanning tools/total stations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and control drawings including wiring diagrams, one-lines, and schematics
• Draft complex drawings in 2D/3D per project requirements
• Prepare bills of materials and respond to client comments
• Produce as-built drawings under supervision
