Job summary

GHD is seeking an entry-level Electrical Drafter/Designer in the US East Design & Delivery Organization. You will support electrical design of power distribution systems using AutoCAD, collaborating with engineers and designers to turn concepts into constructible drawings across P&ID, MCC layouts, wiring diagrams, and lighting designs.

This hybrid role involves coordinating with team members through the project lifecycle, reviewing submittals, and occasional site inspections to ensure design

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or relevant design field.
• Up to 2 years of design experience for a variety of electrical projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports from data from standard sources.
• Solutions Analysis: Determine effective responses to routine inquiries following procedures.
• Personal Capability Building: Participate in development planning, training, and coaching.
• Design and Conceptualization: Support prescribed design activities using existing procedures.
• Product and Solution Development: Carry out product development and engineering activities.
• Operational Compliance: Ensure work adheres to policies and regulatory codes.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Perform tests to verify specifications are met.
