A leading engineering firm in Houston is seeking an Electrical Designer / Drafter to prepare detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to create design packages for construction and manufacturing. Required qualifications include an associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology and 2-5+ years of drafting experience. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is crucial. This role demands strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Position Summary

Electrical Designer / Drafter responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation to support engineering projects. This role works closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to develop accurate design packages for construction, manufacturing, or installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical drawings including:

Qualifications

Education

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, Drafting Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• 2–5+ years of electrical drafting/design experience (industrial or manufacturing preferred).
