Xcel Energy is offering a paid internship in Electrical Engineering focused on reliability of the electric distribution system. Based in Minneapolis, MN, or Fargo, ND, you will assist with outage investigations, technical reports, and coordination studies while gaining hands-on experience in a real utility environment.

The program runs through the summer with full-time hours (up to 40 per week) and may extend based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Current student, junior or higher status.
• Enrolled in ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering.
• Able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during school year (up to 20 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Assist in outage investigations.
• Contribute to technical reports.
• Learn how electricity is delivered and assist with studies.
