Job summary

Holtec is seeking an Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support the implementation and continuous improvement of its EHS programs at East Pittsburgh, PA.

The role partners with manufacturing leadership to identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety through proactive hazard prevention, performance monitoring, and employee engagement. You will deliver training, perform audits, and lead incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• 3+ years of Environmental, Health and Safety experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
• Experience with audits, inspections, and corrective actions in heavy industry.
• Strong communication, organization, and MS Office skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer, coordinate, and implement EHS programs, policies, and protocols.
• Develop hazard assessments, work instructions, PPE analyses, and safety procedures.
• Maintain audit and incident databases; graph and analyze data to track indicators.
• Support toolbox talks and site visits, helping management identify hazards.
• Investigate incidents; lead root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver job-specific EHS training (OSHA 30-hour modules, etc.).
• Prepare and maintain EHS files, permits, incident reports, and regulatory records.
