Job summary

EHSCareers is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to lead the organization’s compliance with U.S. OSHA, EPA, and state rules. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS programs to protect employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will conduct internal audits, lead incident investigations, deliver training, manage SDS records, and track KPIs to drive a proactive safety culture across operations in Lancaster County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive EHS experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926), EPA requirements, and state regulations (e.g., PA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and capable of creating/managing docs and presentations.
• Professional certification is strongly preferred (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA trainer).

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs per OSHA/EPA/state regs.
• Act as site SME on EHS compliance, providing strategic guidance and interpretation of regulatory requirements.
• Conduct advanced environmental monitoring, analyze data trends, and prepare technical reports with actionable recommendations.
• Plan, lead, and conduct internal EHS audits, inspections, and CAPA closures.
• Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training for employees, supervisors, and leadership.
• Oversee EHS KPIs, analyze trends, and report findings with improvement plans.
