Job summary

First Up in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Early Learning Specialist | Induction Coach to support ECE programs through coaching, professional development, and career advising. The role emphasizes reflective, trauma-informed, adult-learning approaches and requires regional travel and strong tech skills.

The position reports to the Director of Professional Learning as a contracted consultant from October through June 2026, with hybrid work and a pay range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field (master's preferred).
• Pennsylvania Teaching Certification Instructional Level I & II required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience coaching, onboarding, or supporting adult learners.
• Experience with Head Start or early childhood program operations preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to educators, leaders, and staff to improve teaching practices and program quality.
• Develop individualized professional growth plans with staff and supervisors, including goals, action steps, and progress.
• Establish trusting coaching relationships that promote psychological safety and professional growth.
• Assist educators in supporting children's development across all domains.
• Deliver professional development aligned with best practices and credential attainment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of coaching visits, growth plans, and progress.
• Collaborate with program leaders to align service plans with initiative benchmarks and goals.
• Travel regionally and utilize technology for remote collaboration.
