Zurich North America’s E&S Casualty team seeks an experienced Casualty Underwriter to join Scottsdale with hybrid work options. You will build broker relationships, assess risk, price exposure, and help grow a profitable book across national wholesale partners.

You will collaborate across claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and underwriting, coaching junior team members and meeting marketplace needs with a focus on customer experience and strategic growth.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in underwriting or market facing area OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10+ years of experience in claims or underwriting support area OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice incl Associate Degree and 3+ years in underwriting or market facing area OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice incl Associate Degree and 8+ years in claims or underwriting support area

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain relationships with broker partners and customers across industries to support business objectives
• Leverage underwriting acumen in risk assessment, exposure evaluation and pricing to generate and maintain profitable book
• Collaborate across claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting
• Grow and develop relationships with distribution partners in an assigned territory
• Serve as customer industry advocate with focus on improving customer experience
• Use disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing
• Use risk insights, data and models to drive informed decisions at point of sale
• Market facing and production within Zurich E&S Casualty division
• Administer underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and rating manual rules
• Coach and empower junior team members
