Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Staff Scheduler to coordinate Direct Support Professional (DSP) scheduling across designated homes and programs in Michigan. You will work with CTMs, PDs, and multiple departments to ensure staffing aligns with policies, regulatory standards, and client needs.

The role emphasizes compliant scheduling, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving across teams to support efficient staffing and quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or related field preferred with strong organizational skills.
• Minimum 2 years in operations/supervisory roles in residential care.
• Proven scheduling, staffing or administrative support experience.
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule DSP shifts, training, and job shadowing with CTMs/PDs.
• Create staffing solutions and resolve conflicts as they arise.
• Support special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
• Oversee use of the Scheduling Application for accurate scheduling.
• Collaborate with Home Managers and Program Directors on standards.
• Coordinate with admissions, finance, recruiting, and operations.
• Provide staffing support across Michigan (designated area).
• Monitor allocations to reduce overtime and turnover costs.
• Assist leadership in labor and payroll efficiency planning.
• Fill shifts as needed to maintain service levels.
