McBride is seeking a Technical Writer to support AFLCMC/HBS/WIW AWACS program. Hybrid role at Tinker AFB, OK, focusing on creating manuals, policies, specifications, and training materials for DoD systems.

Candidates must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. A Bachelor’s in a related field and 3+ years of DoD documentation experience are preferred, along with strong MS Office and editing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience writing technical papers, manuals, policies, specs and reports.
• Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly docs for diverse audiences.
• Ensure documents meet agency style and accuracy standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare original technical papers, manuals, policies, specifications, and reports.
• Write and edit user documentation, how-to guides, manuals, procedures, and training materials.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation for specific audiences.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, vendors, and customers to define specs.
• Maintain an electronic library of signed documents and final presentations.
• Conduct final reviews for layout, grammar and editorial quality.
