The role focuses on safety-critical and non-safety-critical software, enforcing engineering standards, Agile practices, and collaboration with systems and hardware teams, with about 50% remote work in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of engineering experience in safety-critical or aviation embedded systems.
• Three+ years of software leadership or management experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with real-time embedded systems development.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with embedded software for display systems or similar complex systems.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software engineers across the full software lifecycle.
• Oversee architecture, design, implementation, integration, verification, and certification activities.
• Ensure compliance with software standards for safety-critical and non-safety-critical products.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with project managers.
• Coordinate with systems, hardware, and process teams for compliant solutions.
• Support customer reviews, milestones, and certification activities.
