You will manage discovery in complex civil matters, draft and respond to written discovery, review documents, and coordinate with litigation support teams. The ideal candidate writes clearly, thinks strategically, and can work independently while collaborating with partners, clients, and experts.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active California State Bar membership.
• 3–5 years of litigation experience with significant discovery responsibility.
• Experience handling written discovery, document review, production, motions, and deposition prep.
• Experience in insurance defense or complex civil litigation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CA and federal discovery rules; familiarity with litigation technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of discovery in complex civil matters.
• Draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production/admission, and other writings.
• Review case files and ESI to identify key facts and evidence.
• Oversee document review and production with litigation support teams and vendors.
• Draft motions to compel, protective orders, and other discovery briefs.
• Prepare for and participate in discovery conferences, hearings, and depositions.
