Confidential Employer in Los Angeles seeks a new attorney to assist with civil litigation and insurance defense matters in a hybrid role. You will draft pleadings, conduct research, and support hearings under guidance from experienced attorneys.

Active California Bar admission is required. Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply, with four days in the office and one remote day per week, growing responsibility over time.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Interest in litigation and developing courtroom skills.
• Professional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments.
• Ability to work in the Los Angeles office four days per week.
• Insurance defense or civil litigation experience preferred but not required.
• Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage civil litigation and insurance defense matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written analysis
• Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Review case files, records, discovery, and evidence
• Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Help develop litigation strategy and evaluate case issues
• Manage deadlines and maintain organized case files
• Work closely with experienced attorneys while taking on increasing responsibility
• Build practical litigation and Law and Motion skills
