Job summary

Jobot in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Complex Litigation Associate with 2–4 years of experience. This role offers hybrid work and exposure to sophisticated commercial disputes, with early responsibility in lean teams and cross‑practice collaboration.

You will develop research, writing, and discovery skills while handling meaningful matters and contributing to strategy discussions alongside seasoned colleagues.

Qualifications

• At least two years of litigation experience, with flexibility for similar roles.
• Experience with complex and commercial disputes.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and brief-writing skills.
• Exposure to state and federal court litigation is a plus.
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex commercial and business litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other substantive filings
• Manage document collection, review, production, and related discovery workflows
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests
• Assist with deposition preparation, witness preparation, and hearing or trial preparation
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal case teams
• Help develop litigation strategy and identify practical solutions aligned with client objectives
• Contribute to practice development through writing, presentations, and other professional activities
