The Los Angeles County Bar Association - LACBA is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Los Angeles Discovery team. The role focuses on the discovery phase of civil matters for major property owners and managers in California. The position is full-time with a hybrid in-office/work-from-home model and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications include J.D. and active California Bar license; discovery experience is a plus.

• Discovery experience a plus.
• Strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage the discovery phase for new civil matters including propounding and responding to discovery, drafting and responding to meet and confer letters, and tracking discovery documents.
• Meet all discovery related deadlines.
• Conduct privilege analysis and apply redactions.
• Review Discovery documents for issues and communicate defects to clients.
