Job summary

Everett Community College invites applications for a Director of the Tutoring and Writing Centers to provide strategic leadership, coordinate tutoring and writing services, and supervise staff and programs across campus. The role partners with Library/Media, Center for Transformative Teaching, eLearning, and other student services to advance student success.

The Director will recruit, hire, train, evaluate staff, develop initiatives, assess services, and promote centers through campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant discipline
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience
• Commitment to serving diverse student populations
• Experience tutoring or teaching
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Daily operation and management of the Tutoring Center and Writing Center
• Recruit, hire, schedule, supervise and evaluate staff
• Create and support a cohesive team of tutors
• Provide tutor training and content delivery methods
• Lead development and assessment of tutoring/writing services and programs
• Develop marketing plans to promote services
• Develop/update policies and expectations for staff and students
