Job summary

Everett Community College seeks an experienced accounting leader to serve as Director of Finance and Controller, reporting to the Vice President of Finance. The role directs core financial operations, safeguards financial reporting, and ensures audit readiness.

You will supervise staff, improve processes, and communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences while partnering with college leadership to support students and campus operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Five years of professional accounting experience, including fund accounting or governmental reporting.
• Three years of management experience supervising professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core financial functions: general ledger, AP, AR, and treasury.
• Coordinate year-end closing and prepare annual financial statements per GAAP/GASB.
• Maintain internal controls, and manage external audits and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop staff; communicate technical data to diverse audiences.
