Job summary

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education seeks a Director of Technology & Business Enablement to lead a diverse team at the intersection of technology, data, and business strategy. Hybrid role in Davis, CA with two onsite days per week and additional onsite as needed for meetings.

The role oversees technology strategy, data governance, AI initiatives, and enterprise applications in a mission-driven university setting, reporting to the Chief Operations and People Officer.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience overseeing technology, data, BI, project management, or related operational functions.
• Experience managing professional staff, organizational resources, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Experience leading enterprise initiatives involving technology, process improvement, organizational transformation, or service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Business Enablement Team across technology, data, projects, and governance.
• Establish goals, priorities, performance measures, and service standards aligned with CPE’s direction.
• Lead workforce planning, staff development, succession planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
• Build governance frameworks, operational policies, risk-management practices, and decision structures.
