Job summary

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education seeks a Director of the Business Enablement Team to lead technology strategy, data management, BI, and project delivery for the division. You will drive long-range roadmaps, governance, and investments to enable growth and innovation across learners, instructors, staff, and partners.

The role requires strategic leadership, collaboration across levels, and alignment with UC Davis Principles of Community.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Progressive leadership experience overseeing technology, data, business intelligence, project management, or related operational functions.
Experience managing professional staff, organizational resources, budgets, and vendor relationships.
Experience leading enterprise initiatives involving technology, process improvement, organizational transformation, or service delivery.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including strategic planning, staff development, performance management, and resource stewardship.
Knowledge of enterprise technology, data management, business intelligence, project management, and service delivery principles.
Ability to analyze complex organizational challenges, develop effective solutions, and lead change across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and build collaborative partnerships.

Responsibilities

Leadership, Governance & Organizational Effectiveness – lead the BET and align initiatives with division goals.
Strategic Technology & Digital Transformation Leadership – set roadmaps and drive technology strategy.
Business Enablement Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement – partner with leaders to translate needs into scalable solutions.
Administrative Management – manage resources, budgets, and vendor relationships.
