Job summary

BKV Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the local electrical engineering practice, direct multidisciplinary project delivery, and mentor staff in a hybrid leadership and technical role.

The role requires an active PE license and 10–15 years of experience in built environments, with responsibilities including signing deliverables, establishing standards, coordinating with disciplines, and supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10–15 years of progressive electrical engineering design and leadership in built environment projects.
• Expert knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and Energy Codes (ASHRAE/IECC).

Responsibilities

• Lead the local electrical engineering practice and direct multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Sign and seal engineering deliverables and develop electrical standards.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Interior Design, and PM leaders.
• Manage workloads, project assignments, and budgets for the local team.
• Support business development, proposals, and client presentations.
