Job summary

Peaks Renewables, a Peaks Renewables, Inc. platform subsidiary of Summit Utilities, is hiring a Director of Accounting & FP&A. The hybrid role may be based in Maine or Arkansas, with remote options for Texas candidates.

You will build and lead the accounting and FP&A function for a growing multi-asset RNG platform, aligning with corporate standards while handling project-based accounting. You will own monthly close, consolidate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, and

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 12+ years in accounting/FP&A, with 7+ years on month-end close.
• Experience in RNG/renewables or project finance preferred.
• Experience leading ERP implementation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting & FP&A function for Peaks Renewables and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Own monthly close for project entities and platform; manage reconciliation and scheduling.
• Lead ERP implementation, data migration, cutover, and user adoption.
• Develop and maintain project-level and consolidated financial models.
• Coordinate budget-to-actual processes and long-range planning.
• Support M&A diligence, integration, and post-close activities.
• Prepare quarterly reporting packages for leadership, Summit, and the board.
