Peaks Renewables seeks a Director of Accounting & FP&A to build and lead financial reporting, close processes, and planning for its RNG platform. You will own GAAP-compliant statements, drive SAP ERP implementation, and align Peaks with Summit’s standards.

The role is hands-on early on, with scale as the platform grows, requiring deep knowledge of project finance, environmental attributes, and timely financial insight for leadership and lenders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in accounting, FP&A, and/or corporate finance.
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience leading a month-end close, planning, or financial reporting process, including directing the work of others.
• Experience in RNG, renewables, infrastructure, or project-finance-based business strongly preferred.
• Experience leading or playing a central role in an ERP implementation is strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess current-state accounting and FP&A processes and develop a prioritized roadmap for the function, including staffing, systems, and responsibilities between Peaks and Summit.
• Build and institutionalize the Peaks Accounting & FP&A function, including close and planning calendars, systems, and team support.
• Serve as the primary finance interface between Peaks and Summit, aligning policies, close calendar, consolidation, and reporting with Summit standards.
• Lead the ERP implementation as the Peaks business owner, including requirements, COA design, data migration, cutover, and user adoption.
• Own the monthly close for Peaks project entities and the Peaks platform, with balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage consolidation and intercompany accounting across project entities, the Peaks platform, and Summit, including intercompany balances and eliminations.
• Own technical accounting for the platform, including revenue recognition, asset retirement obligations, tax credits, leases, and acquisition accounting.
• Partner with Summit on accounts payable/receivable and working capital oversight.
• Own the platform annual budget, reforecasts, and long-range plan, tying project drivers to the top-level plan.
• Own budget-to-actual processes and variance analyses for monthly performance reviews.
• Maintain project-level and consolidated financial models and align with actual results.
• Support the M&A diligence, integration, and post-close processes.
• Prepare quarterly reporting packages for Peaks leadership, Summit, and the board.
• Hire, develop, and manage the Accounting & FP&A team and train operations on budgeting and accounting.
