Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division seeks a Specialist Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer to design real-time DSP algorithms for high-power UPS systems and energy storage products. This hybrid role is on-site within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC with relocation support if moving to the US.

Responsibilities include developing real-time control software, validating via simulations and HIL tests, and guiding global teams through complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics or industrial products.
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics or industrial products.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics or industrial products.

Responsabilités

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer requirements and Eaton goals.
• Provide guidance and leadership to other technical team members.
• Collaborate with global product teams to solve performance, safety and reliability challenges.
• Develop mathematical models and algorithms for DSP controls of power conversion products.
• Create simulations in MATLAB/Simulink and validate designs through simulations and testing.
• Evaluate control architectures and apply best engineering practices.
