Job summary

Building One Community (B1C) in Stamford, CT seeks a Development Manager to advance fundraising efforts, manage donor relations, and support campaigns. The role reports to the Director of Development and External Relations and collaborates with Leadership and teams across the organization.

This full-time position features a hybrid schedule (three days onsite, two remote). The candidate will oversee donor records, aid in grant and campaign tracking, and help cultivate ongoing support from

Qualifications

• 3+ years nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with donor management databases; DonorPerfect experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Donor Cultivation & Stewardship: manage donor/prospect records and tracking; develop acknowledgment/engagement strategies; support acquisition/retention; prepare donor briefings and outreach lists; cultivate relationships with donors and supporters.
• Development Operations & Fundraising: maintain donor database records; process and acknowledge gifts; generate fundraising reports and metrics; support Annual Appeal campaigns; coordinate events and donor follow-ups; manage Development calendar.
• Board & Community Engagement: liaison to Board/Board alumni group; engage Board in fundraising and advocacy; develop mission-driven donor communications.
• Team Collaboration: work with Development, Communications, Programs, Finance, Events; support priorities and special projects.
