Job summary

American Heart Association, Inc. is seeking a Development Director in Little Rock, AR, to implement the Sweetheart’s fundraising campaign with high school students and the community, partnering with schools, parents, hospitals, and leaders to raise funds and awareness.

The role is office-based with a hybrid schedule in a fast-paced setting, focusing on achieving revenue targets and managing events, while offering training resources and community engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Sweetheart’s campaign to raise funds with high school students in Little Rock and Hot Springs.
• Recruit and engage high school students and parents to promote the program.
• Recruit and manage volunteer leaders and committees.
• Engage hospitals and community leaders to build a robust educational program.
• Meet income and recruitment goals through community outreach and prospecting.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate events for continuous improvement.
