Job summary

American Heart Association in Louisville is seeking a Development Director to lead revenue generation for Heart of Louisville and Heart of Western Kentucky campaigns, including Heart Ball events. The role is full-time and field-based with a hybrid schedule!

We offer base salary with incentive up to 25% of base pay tied to revenue targets. You will build sponsor/donor pipelines, present proposals, recruit volunteers, coordinate auctions, and manage CRM data to advance our mission locally.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 70% and some overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors.
• Develop proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
• Coordinate the event auction and lead a volunteers committee.
• Lead membership outreach for Cor Vitae giving society and plan engagement events.
• Plan and implement events with internal and external partners.
• Maintain accurate CRM data and Microsoft platform records.
• Collaborate with Communications to support campaign plans.
