Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Deskside Support Technician to provide tier 1 and 2 technical support to contractors and employees, maximizing technology availability and productivity. You will deliver prompt, courteous deskside, remote, and walk-up support for hardware, software, and services.

Responsibilities include configuring and deploying desktops, using ITSM systems to track issues, and mentoring new technicians.

Qualifications

Associate degree or IT cert, or equivalent experience.
2–5 years in PC hardware/software diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
Proficient with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Provide hardware and software technical support for contractor and employee PCs remotely and deskside.
Configure, deploy, maintain, and relocate desktops, laptops and peripherals as directed.
Use ITSM systems to track issues and report unusual or recurring problems.
Follow established procedures and engage management appropriately.
Improve Deskside Support operations through process improvements.
Prioritize issues and manage user expectations; escalate as needed.
Provide training to new technicians to ensure process compliance.
Maintain inventory at selected sites and ensure proper receipt procedures.
