Job summary

CRB’s Omaha, NE-based Project Manager - Design leads multidisciplinary design teams, guiding architecture and engineering work from concept through issued-for-construction documents. You will oversee design budgets, schedules, and client communications to deliver high-quality design outcomes.

The role emphasizes design execution, requiring collaboration with internal and external partners, and adherence to CRB standards while enabling long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related design discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within an A/E or design-focused firm.
• Demonstrated experience leading design teams and design deliverables (not construction).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams (architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, structural) through all phases of design.
• Plan, execute, and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget for design-only projects.
• Serve as the primary client liaison during design, facilitating communication and expectations.
• Coordinate internal resources and external design partners to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Manage design change control, including scope adjustments, fee impacts, and revisions.
• Track project financial performance, including labor budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Ensure adherence to CRB’s quality standards, design processes, and documentation requirements.
• Support business development through client relationships and proposals as needed.
• Pursue and maintain industry-relevant project management certifications (PMP, AEC PMA) as applicable.
