Job summary

CRB is seeking a Project Manager - Design in Omaha, NE. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams, plan scope and budgets for design-only projects, and act as the primary client liaison to ensure high-quality design outcomes.

The role focuses on design execution, coordinating internal resources and external partners, and maintaining CRB quality standards. A design PM background with strong leadership and coordination skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related design discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence without authority, and manage multiple priorities.
• Solid working knowledge of architectural and engineering design processes, interdisciplinary coordination, and document delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams (architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, structural, etc.) through all phases of design.
• Plan, execute, and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget for design-only projects.
• Serve as the primary client liaison during design, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
• Coordinate internal resources and external design partners to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.
• Manage design change control, including scope adjustments, fee impacts, and design revisions.
• Track project financial performance, including labor budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Ensure adherence to CRB’s quality standards, design processes, and documentation requirements.
• Support business development efforts through client relationship management and contribution to proposals as needed.
• Pursue and maintain industry-relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, AEC PMA), as applicable.
