Job summary

CRB is seeking a Design Project Manager in Omaha, NE to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage scope, schedule, and budget during the design phase. The role focuses on design execution, overseeing architecture and engineering deliverables and serving as the primary client contact.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related design discipline, 5+ years in a design-focused PM role, and a track record of coordinating design deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related design discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an A/E or design-focused firm.
• Experience leading design teams and delivering design deliverables (not construction field execution).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams through all phases of design.
• Plan, execute, and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget for design-only projects.
• Serve as the primary client liaison during design and manage expectations.
• Coordinate internal resources and external design partners for timely deliverables.
• Manage design change control, including scope, fees, and revisions.
• Track labor budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Ensure adherence to CRB’s design processes and documentation standards.
• Support business development through client relationship management and proposals.
• Pursue and maintain industry certifications (e.g., PMP, AEC PMA) as applicable.
