Job summary

The ACLU - National Office in New York, NY seeks a Deputy Director, Support Transition in the Development Department. This hybrid role leads a major transformation of support, knowledge management, training, BI, and data systems across the organization.

Reporting to the Director of Development Data & Systems, you will design future-state models, guide SKT and BIA teams through transition, ensure SLA targets are met, and coach leaders to sustain operational excellence in a complex nonprofit

Qualifications

• Experience managing a BBCRM support team in a federated nonprofit organization.
• Strong understanding of fundraising systems support needs.
• Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and enterprise system implementations.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and change programs.
• Ability to plan capacity, resources, and performance across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and optimization of cross-functional support operations.
• Update SLAs and integrate improvement projects into transition plans.
• Define team scopes, roles, and required skillsets with governance.
• Plan and manage transition with budget, procurement, and timelines.
• Guide SKT and BIA teams through migration and stabilization.
• Develop training, metrics, and change management activities.
• Foster collaboration across DDSRO teams and track performance.
• Support DDSRO roadmap, resource planning, and capacity management.
• Promote diversity and inclusive collaboration in all activities.
