Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking a Data Platform Developer to build and enhance our modern lakehouse, connecting business systems to trusted analytics and AI-driven workflows. You will own production pipelines, ensure platform health, and contribute to governance and documentation.

As part of the Data & AI team, you will work with analysts and developers to deliver reliable data products, implement data quality checks, and support AI-assisted operational workflows while operating in a

Qualifications

3+ years building and supporting production data pipelines on a cloud data platform (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or BigQuery).
Strong SQL and Python skills with Spark or similar framework.
Experience troubleshooting production jobs and incident response.

Responsibilities

Develop, operate, and improve ingestion and transformation pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold layers.
Administer and improve the Databricks environment and Unity Catalog governance.
Monitor pipeline health, performance, and cost; maintain runbooks and dashboards.
Investigate incidents, perform data recoveries, and document root causes.
Collaborate with analytics and AI teams to deliver governed data products.
