Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking a Data Platform Developer to build, evaluate, and improve the AI-enabled data lakehouse powering our analytics and practice workflows. This individual contributor role offers ownership of production pipelines, platform health, and data documentation, with collaboration across analytics, application development, and business data owners.

You will manage ingestion pipelines, Databricks environments, and governance, while advancing data quality,

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production data pipelines on cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL and Python, with experience in Spark or similar frameworks.
• Experience troubleshooting production jobs and incident response.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and data reliability practices.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Develop, operate, and improve ingestion and transformation pipelines across data layers.
• Administer and improve Databricks environment, workflows, and Unity Catalog governance.
• Maintain version-controlled configurations and deployment workflows.
• Implement automated data quality checks and schema tests.
• Monitor pipeline performance, cost, and availability; maintain runbooks and alerts.
• Investigate incidents, coordinate data recovery and backfills, document root causes.
• Maintain data lineage, metadata, and platform documentation; collaborate with data owners.
• Assess downstream impacts of schema changes and coordinate with data consumers.
• Collaborate with analysts and AI teams to deliver well-governed data products.
