Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to develop, evaluate, and improve AI capabilities that support our people and our practice. You will build and optimize production AI solutions, evaluate large language models, and transform organizational knowledge into secure, actionable intelligence.

Working within our Data & AI team, you will own defined technical initiatives and collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS, software, data science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs and AI models.
• Experience with AI evaluations, benchmarks, or performance testing.
• Knowledge of RAG, retrieval systems, and context optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Git; strong CI/CD practices.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve AI capabilities across production apps.
• Benchmark models, prompts, and configurations; document findings.
• Design workflows for knowledge capture and governance in AI tools.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders.
• Advance architecture, testing, and code quality with CI/CD.
• Explore emerging AI platforms for practical use at HED.
