Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is seeking a Resource Biologist (Data Manager) to design and manage databases, GIS data, and dashboards. The role supports the Habitat Conservation Section and will help build a GIS Support Team.

Hybrid work is possible with management approval, based in Bangor or Augusta. The position emphasizes ESRI GIS tools, SQL Server, Python, Java, and Office365, with a focus on data analysis and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Fisheries or Wildlife or related field and two years of related experience.
• Equivalent experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferences for enterprise geodatabases, SQL Server, Python, Java, and PowerApps/PowerAutomate.

Responsabilités

• Design and manage databases and GIS data workflows.
• Create online survey forms and dashboards; analyze GIS data.
• Develop GIS support tools and provide technical assistance to staff.
