The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is seeking an Endangered/Threatened (ET) Species Data Manager for the Data Administration Group in the Habitat Conservation Section. This role will develop and maintain GIS databases for E/T wildlife species and assist field biologists with observations, mapping habitat and regulatory areas around observation locations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Fisheries or Wildlife Management or related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible related lab or field research/management experience.
• Experience with GIS data management and mapping in ESRI ArcGIS.

• Develop and maintain GIS databases for ET species data.
• Enter new species observations and map suitable habitat areas.
• Provide GIS support to Department staff; minimal field work.
