Job summary

Aon Corporation is seeking a Data and AI Solutions Architect to drive data-centric architecture using Azure, Databricks, and AI services. You will mentor teams, shape data strategies, and collaborate with product and development groups across multiple US offices.

The role supports hybrid work with remote options for qualified candidates. The position emphasizes hands-on delivery, DevOps culture, and deep knowledge of data technologies, cloud platforms, and AI capabilities, with compensation

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a data-intensive role.
• 3+ years building solutions in a DevOps first culture.
• Experience delivering Gen AI capabilities in production.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, Data Factory, Azure AI Services, OpenAI, or related technologies.
• Strong DevOps skills including PowerShell, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Containers, Azure Key Vault, Entra, Private Endpoints, or related technologies.
• Understanding of relational databases concepts.
• Proficient in Windows administration and operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Track record delivering complex projects on time.
• Knowledge of Gen AI, AI/ML Ops, mlflow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Influence leaders to plan and prioritize work for business support.
• Partner with project teams to embrace emerging technologies.
• Develop and research Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, Azure services, Terraform, and related tech.
• Define data-centric solutions to meet business requirements.
• Design data architecture and provide implementation guidance.
• Create and execute test criteria and scenarios; document results.
• Provide ongoing support and on-call help for applications.
